I wrote a poem for HubPages and it was about a break-up story and titled “My Boyfriend left me for a younger woman”.

Another user, who failed to check my account, thought that I was a woman who recently had a break-up. Being replaced by a younger woman is a common scenario that most women can relate to.

Now let us talk about cheating
Cheating with your partner by any means or from anyone will be destructive to that person. You have held a place in her heart, then you left. I went to different phases of my life to relieve some emotions from friends who shared their experiences with their ex-boyfriend. And there were also scenes, where my guy friends actually shared how they cheated with their girlfriends.
Reliving on each of the time frames of my life enabled me to write the poem My Boyfriend left me for a younger woman.
The poem uses simple words so it can be relatable to many. I’ve read some complex poems and they were too boring and I scroll away to the next. The goal was to achieve something emotional but easy to understand.
How some of my friends cheated
The very basic is with someone they met at the bar. The number one reason why bars were made is to attract sex. This was in the college days of my life and sex was very easy, especially if you have the help of alcohol.
I felt like I was part of the crime because I knew what was happening but I did not do anything about it.
Life is easy when you are young, and if I write a poem about it, most probably I can write a lot. Especially about topics of beers and whisky.
Living on two houses
Most people that will cheat will try to keep both relationships. It is like driving a car and you want to keep all four tires and a spare. This is a mean example, but that is one of the messages written inside the poem.
You celebrated anniversaries, both of you were romantic, he was perfect in bed, but without your knowledge, he was seeing somebody else. And YES, they are also having sex.
I wonder how most people pull this off? How they have time to manage more than one relationship.
The bad effects of cheating
The victim, and in this poem the girlfriend, will be in an emotional wreck. Especially that she has given her all, and she was even ready for marriage. The number one effect of a bad break-up, the victim will have trust issues with men and might look at all men as cheating AWHOLEs.
Or, are all men cheating AWHOLEs?
But depending on the emotional and psychological structure of a person, women will have different reactions. For those who are emotional and clingy to precious moments, they will have a hard time coping up with the loss. They will continue to relieve the pain drenched in tears and fattened by ice cream.
But for those who are emotionally strong and knows how to live the world in different lights. In sadness and happy thoughts, then they can immediately find solutions from a break-up.
And if you are a woman reading this article, and you came from a break-up, please do yourself a favor and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Pick up what was left and move-on. Or, talk to your lawyers and see what legal means you can throw against your ex-boyfriend. Jail time is way better than a revenge body.
Final thoughts from the accomplice
It was fun writing this poem, I was able to relive colorful episodes of my life. And also to release some guilt in my chest. I witnessed most of my friends cheating escapades but I was silent about it. If my friends were murderers, then I would be in prison as an accomplice.
One of my guy friends, who was a nurse, had 3 girlfriends, and he was able to manage all three at the same time. And even to this day of my life, I looked at male nurses as love artists. Women are easily attracted to male nurses, and that’s why it is easy for them to fall into different relationships.
Those were crazy days, cheating can either be done in a motel, a boarding house, or a quiet public beach. But I must admit that I somewhat benefited from some of these escapades because most girls have girlfriends. Which means, I was never alone drinking Redhorse, nothing more. Fun times I guess.
Poems are a good outlet for my thoughts, and My Boyfriend left me for a younger woman is a way of letting out some of my experiences in the past.
