A Poem About a Hero | When Will I Die?
The war between Russia and Ukraine inspired me to write this poem.
The poem does not speak about the root of the conflict between the two nations. But it tells a story of a soldier on the battlefield. A soldier who’s only following orders. A soldier who does not want to lose his job.
For me, the soldiers of the ongoing war are just like most of us. Subordinates of bosses and are only following orders. Behind our desks, we don’t always enjoy what we work on. But we cannot complain, else we will risk losing our jobs.
